# Safe Browsing

Safe Browsing is the preventative core of NOVA AI. This feature protects Web3 users in real time, automatically blocking malicious or suspicious pages before they can cause harm.

As you browse, NOVA constantly analyzes the URLs you visit, comparing them against its own and community databases of phishing sites, fraudulent dApps, imitations of popular platforms, and pages designed to trick users or steal wallet access. If a threat is detected, the extension issues an immediate visual alert and blocks the content before it loads.

This protection is automatic and passive: the user doesn't need to do anything. It works as a silent layer of defense, ideal for people who don't know how to identify dangerous sites or who are exploring new platforms for the first time.

**Use cases:**

* *Avoiding falling for fake cryptocurrency links*
* *Detecting pages that mimic wallets like Phantom or Metamask*
* *Blocking promoted sites with malicious intent*
